Donna was born in the Mississippi Delta area in the small town of Shelby, and she attended school in nearby Clarksdale. Her grandfather was an old-school Baptist preacher in a small country church, and because of him, she had a spiritual upbringing.
In 1990, she developed an entrepreneurial mindset and a yen for a big city that led her to Wichita, Kansas, where she lived for 7 years. When she decided to go bigger, she relocated to a Dallas suburb, Carrollton, Texas, where she lived for 14 years before moving back to Mississippi to be closer to her parents.
When she lived in Kansas and Texas, Donna met many of her goals and milestones, owning and operating child development centers and selling real estate. In 2009 she finally had the resources to accomplish her biggest dream, launching a charitable organization.
She’s the founder and CEO of Share A Life Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that focuses on helping the homeless, underprivileged families and finding transitional housing for them.
The move to Mississippi was something that she did not see coming but she knew that with her entrepreneurial will power and hunger to succeed she would be just fine. She started 2 more businesses within 6 months of residing in a state that she thought she would never call home again. She also owns a home health agency, National Health Care LLC, that services the Mississippi Delta. Donna has one daughter, A. Nicole. She is also an entrepreneur.
